Re-establishing a Protective Covering

- When we shut down one emotion, we begin the process of shutting down all of them. 

- We see David influence those around him rather than being influenced by them. 

- Rather than being influenced by his friends, David chooses to adopt God’s view of the situation.

- When we keep our hearts set upon honoring God at all times, we are able to see situations and people the way God sees them. 

-At the same time, David realizes that people cannot restore the protective covering. The only one who can do that is God Himself.

-David roots his identity in knowing and understanding the heart of God.
