Annette Beggarly // Church Administrator

I was born and raised in good 'ol Danville, Virginia. I moved away for seven years during which time I lived on a military base. After moving back to Danville, I met and married the greatest gift God could have ever given me--Rusty. Between our natural children and those God chose to bless us with, we have raised (some their entire growing up years, some for a season) six children. We have a daughter-in-love who is as beautiful on the inside as she is outside, and a son-in-law we consider to have been dropped right out of heaven into our lives. We have seven grandchildren. Does life get any better than that?

Who is the most influential person in your life? Absolutely, hands down--my husband. He grounds me. He gives me impeccable counsel. He makes me laugh. (I love to laugh.)

What inspires you? Seeing children love and worship Jesus. Watching them pour their heart out in abandon to our Savior with a purity that we would all do well to emulate.

What do you like to do apart from ministry? I love having extended, uninterrupted time with Jesus. I love spending relaxed, unhurried time with my family and friends. I quilt, crochet, knit, cross stitch, and sew. I enjoy reading--there is just something about having a brand new hard copy of a book in my hands.....

One item on your bucket list: Travel to Israel.

Little known fact about you: I have bred Great Danes. (It is a lot of work.)

Other than the Bible, your favorite book is: Oh, my! Only one? My list is a mile long. Anything by Bill Johnson and Randy Clark, C.S. Lewis, any of the great classics by authors like Andrew Murray, E. M. Bounds, Spurgeon, any book about the life of Mother Teresa. If I HAD to choose one non-fiction, it would be Just a Minute (In the Heart of a Child, One Moment...Can Last Forever) by Wess Stafford. One fiction would be Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.

What's on your media device? A lot of children's praise music. Also, TobyMac, Bethel Music, Hillsong, Elevation Worship.

Your favorite date restaurant: Darryl's Wood Fired Grill

On a more regular basis you order (a) what when you go (b) where? (a) Unsweetened tea (b) Chick-fil-a

Guilty pleasure: Sitting down and basically doing nothing. (Happens all of two times per year : )

Who do you root for? Whoever is losing. (Blame this on the gift of compassion. Ha ha.)

Who do you follow on Twitter/Instagram? James Reed, Dr. Stephen R. Smith, Andy Stanley, Bill Hybels, Kari Jobe, Louie Giglio, Focus on the Family

What preachers/writers (dead or alive) do you go out of your way to listen to or read? Jim Reed, Jim Cymbala, Wayne Cordeiro, Jack Hayford.
