Our Environments ...
At New Life we endeavor to create three key ministry environments.
They are the Foyer, Living Room, and Kitchen.
The Foyer is the place in your home that serves as the welcome area for guests and new friends. It’s the first step, and it’s often your only chance to make your guests feel comfortable enough to return. That’s exactly how we’ve designed our entry environments at New Life. Our Sunday morning worship services are “foyer” environments. We want our guests to come back, so we do everything with them in mind. Each area of our church will eventually have it's own foyer: middle school wil have Xtreme, high school will have Rush Hour, and families will be enjoying KidStuf each month beginning January 7, and singles will have a foyer environment that we plan to launch Fall 2007. These environments are where most people will experience our church for the first time, and they serve as the perfect place to introduce newcomers to New Life.
So, come on in …
Your Living Room is a room in your home, with sofas, chairs, etc., used for social activities, entertaining guests, etc. When guests arrive and are welcomed into your home, you invite them into the living room. Everyone finds a comfortable place to sit, and the interaction begins. At New Life, this is where you connect with people like yourself. Smaller and more interactive than the foyer environment, these gatherings offer genuine opportunity to begin friendships...just like the living room in your home. For single adults, this environment will be called FUSiON (Fall 2007). For married adults, there is MarriedLife Live coming Spring 2007. The living room event for students is Inside Out, and - well, you get the idea. Come into the living room and have a seat...
Where do you end up when friends or family come over? The Kitchen. This is where lasting friendships are made. And that’s the kind of environment we are striving for in our LifeGroups. These are small groups where people meet regularly for Bible study and prayer, and commit to accountability, friendship and support. They are the safe place to open your heart, share your life, and ask the tough questions. Small group opportunities for adults include LifeGroups and Starting Point. For students, small group time happens during Inside Out and UpStreet Kids. Small groups are the place where ministry happens at New Life. And we want to help you get there.
