About Us

Hi, we’re really glad that you are checking us out. At the bottom of this page you’ll find all the formal mission statement stuff, but first let us just tell you a little bit about who we are at the core.

New Life is a place where authenticity is a big deal. We aren’t perfect, from the lead pastor on down (and his wife will verify that for you if you have any doubts). But we are real. We talk about our lives and faith journey in real terms, not in religious jargon that makes it all sound good. We face up to real problems and concerns, and we go to the Bible and ask the Spirit of Jesus to help us find real answers and real strength – not just some psychological coping mechanism. We try to keep it…real.

This is a church with a lot of kids and teenagers, a lot of young couples. But we also have some incredible seasoned citizens, and the cool thing is that they all genuinely love each other. This is a place where the 70-somethings dig the praise band, and the 20-somethings love the 70-somethings! A lot of people talk about New Life Community Church as their “church family.” If you hang out with us for a while you’ll know why. There is a lot of love, a lot of looking out for each other. We’re family.

NLCC is a safe place, an environment where you won’t get yelled at, or guilt-tripped, or strong-armed. That doesn’t mean that we won’t address prickly issues from a clear Biblical basis, but it does mean that you’ll be respected and cared for in our various environments. It’s a faith community that takes the protection of your kids seriously, and it takes the protection of your heart just as seriously. We’re safe.

So we hope that you’ll come be our guest sometime soon. You’ll find nice people who aren’t pushy, people who will go out of their way to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable, for you or your children. And you’ll find something else…the presence of God. Not some TV ministry-style craziness, but a strong sense of the love of Jesus in this place being worked out through the lives of hundreds of Christ-followers. It’s pretty cool. We invite you to come experience it with us.
